So, just upgraded to Cubase 5 from SX2... Loving it!
Have a question though.
Has anyone figured out how one can use the same input/outputs for setting up external FX and an external instrument?
I have a Kurzweil K2600XS which has LiveMode, basically a way to get external audio signal through the synth. In SX2 I had just setup a regular output bus to ports 3&4 on my interface that are connected to the audio inputs on my K2600, and would route signals to this bus if I wanted them to go through the synth. I can do the same on Cubase 5, but I really would prefer to set it up as External FX.
The trouble is, if I want to get the output of the K2600 back into Cubase, I can either use FX returns or Instrument inputs, and not both.
Any ideas?
