Another dumb one from I 
My 2480 is loaded: 4 boards. The 1st one is a VS8F3 (the newer, cooler ones...they say). The other 3 are VS8F2's.
Okay, recently I did a full hard drive cleaning; the works. Physical reformat with a surface scan...blah, blah, blah. Reformat successful, no errors.
I noticed however that my VS8F3 was no longer accessible; it no longer showed up on the effects screen (no device installed). Is this because the F3 installs some sort of driver program to the hard drive that the F2's do not?
