Eveything reacting strange

I had a bad shutdown when I lost power. Everything came back on, things seemed to be going on well. I came back to it the next day and everything was reacting oddly. The sequencer in the Korg was out of wack, tracks that had been in sync before were not, programs had changed, the computer kept on going into fan overdrive. What is going on.

Could this be related to fluctuations in the electric current?

Yes. Time to buy a UPS so you can have a controlled shutdown next time.
