hey all,
i have a recording of my band in cakewalk and i'm using soundforge to do any mastering that have to do.
i'm pretty comfortable with compression now...but i really want to help my recording by using some eq...problem is that i don't know ANYTHING about it.
where do i start?
what should i be listening for?
are there some basic rules that i could follow as far as eq adjustments for certain instruments?
should i adjust eq to each instrument or just to the final wave mixdown?
i'm not a big fan of a lot of effects and i'm using what soundforge has to offer in a very minimalist approach...but i would like to make my mix sound a bit more lively.
any help?
thanks.
