I was (and still am) having trouble getting a quality sounding final mix. I recently downloaded the demo for T-Racks 24, which is absolutely awesome with respect to ease of use and quality of sound enhancement, but my questions are:
1) T-Racks is not a plug-in so I have to apply it at the final mix (post Cake) or I have to export tracks out, apply T-Racks, then import back in, all of which screams disaster. Has anyone tried utilizing processing on a track level outside of Cake and then bringing the tracks back in? I assume that the sync is being jeopardized.
2) If anyone has tried the T-Racks demo, can anyone tell me if there is an equivalent, easy to use, EQ available within Cakewalk? I don't find the graphic EQ in Cakewalk to be that good, but I am not an expert (obviously) at Cakewalk or mixing.
3) I've heard that Steinberg has a good processing package, but does that force me into Cubase?
Any comments are very much appreciated.
