So I have this recurring issue of an electronic buzzing noise in my recordings. It seems to come and go, and appear no matter what PC I use (I've tried 3). In researching this issue I found a similar post on this forum and investigated according.
When nothing is plugged into my PC except head phones I can record a segment and when played back I can hear the exact buzzing noise. But like I said it appears even when I don't have this PC in the loop.
My first thought is that it's a power related issue so I recorded a "blank" segment on a laptop both with and without the AC adapter plugged in. and sure enough the power effects weather there is a buzz or not.
so here is the question.
If it is power related, and I'm stuck recording in an old house, what can I do to solve this? I have the PC plugged into a battery back-up UPS thinking that could help but it makes no difference. Is there something I can get that will "clean" my power?
thanks in advance
