OK. I come here becase I know there are geniuses here... so riddle me this:

I have a space that is wired up with no grounding.

Naturally.. I have some interference between things.

What can I do?

I would like to minimize costs, of course.. but Im handy with electricity. However.. the place is finished in and I dont want to pull new lines.

so..hmm?

xoox

Is this old construction?

And do you mean absolutely no ground, as in 2-prong outlets?

Is it a basement?

How are the walls/floor built?

Am I right in assuming it was done recently, and not to code?

With enough info, maybe we can find a way around the problem... Steve

The quick and dirty way would be to run a new conduit line from the main service into your studio. The really dirty way would be to run a new ground wire from one of the existing outlets to a copper water main or grounding rod and just use that outlet.

I agree with tex. But, you could build you a modular pannel of outlets just for your recording equipment, and feed them from power existing, and then run a grounded conductor, and connect it to a water pipe that enters the building (not the nearest one). The connection must be made within two feet of where it enters the building also. Home depo sells a retro fit ground wire to pipe claw made of copper. Attatch it to the pipe securely, then connect the grounded wire.
