El Cheapo mic - SuperLux/Avlex Eco-H6A

Hello !

Do any of you guys know this brand ? It`s very cheap and I am thinking about getting one to complement my small setup (home recording , ADAT only, just my own recordings).
I am trying to get a good one like AKG, but while I save for it, I would like to get a cheaper one to have some testing.
They are really cheap, even less than Behringer and other locally avaliable brands.
Any pointers/opinions ?

Like this one? If so, its ok, a bit brittle sounding. I've used it until I got a better LDC. Not bad for $50.

I am thinking about using it to record room sound (specially for drums...)

It is a bit hot, but it worked well with acoustic guitar and bass.

You mean hot as high signal level or just good mids (sorry, I'm kinda new to all this...)

A lot of mids, I'd say.

I think I will give it a try, since I`ve been using some dylan/contractor microphones to do overall drum, and they are electrect based.
