EHX Switchblade or BOSS LS-2?

I have a single input amp that I use for my solo act. I create alot of loops on the fly. I plug my acoustic, synth, and drum machine into my VLZ1202 and send the bus to my looper/fx chain. I send the mixer output to the amp. This part works fine. When I plug my electric into the mixer and send the output to the amp (even my itself), it sounds like ass. If I run my electric through my fx chain without the board, ot sounds fine. So I am thinking about getting an AB splitter and running channel 1 from the board and channel 2 from my electric into a AB pedal with the output going to my amp (I don't reallt need the fx for my electric). So I was looking for a cheap solution. I saw the EHX switchblade for ~$40, and the BOSS LS-2 for ~$80. I don't need all the routing of the LS-2 now, but it may come in handy down the line. ANy suggestions/feeedback either way. $80 is my absolute max to spend on this.
