Connect your fx to the inserts. You need an insert cable, it's a standard cable that has a TRS connector on one end and 2 TS connectors on the other. It's also the same cable you'd use to split a stereo signal (trs end) into 2 mono signals (L/R, ts ends). L is send, connect to the fx input. R is return, connect to the fx output..
