For you guy who dump your tracks on a computer track for track do you use any kind of effects on your sounds.
 
Yes! That's how it's done.

Same technique as pop/rock. Compression, eq, compression, delay/reverb, panning, misc. fx, compression, compression. :)

Note: you guys/gals really should be eqing your patches. Hard to do off a 2-track sequence, no?

And don't get me started about adding acoustic instrumentation.

What do you mean?

Are you asking if we add the effects while tracking or record them with the effect during tracking?

Personally I don't like to add any processing during tracking if I don't have to. If I need a compressor or something like that I'll patch it in but the effects I leave until the mixing process.
