Editing SysxData in Sonar

I have a Roland XV-5080 synth module. I am trying to dynamically change the delay time for one of its built in effects from Sonar. (This is a test case for controlling other parameters that can't be controlled by the usually midi contoller options.

The only way I can do it is if I record in Sonar as I sweep the delay time on the XV5080 by hand. That records via midi to
sysxdata. I can see it the data in the Events List and in the track view the same way you see normal controller data like volume, cutoff...

I would like to be able to DRAW the delay value the same way you can draw volume or pan.

But I can't see the data in the Piano view.

Does anybody know how I would go about "shaping" sysxdata values? Am I making any sense?

Any dialog would be greatly appreciated.

I think SoundDiver is the answer for me. It lets me map any controller to any parameter for my synths.
