hey guys,

I have a question some of you may be able to answer. I have an older Layla unit installed on here and I am using it with the Sonar 2.0 and was wondering what to set the bitrate to 24 or 16 bit?

I know the card is 20 bit. But I probably should be set to 16? or 24? I am sort of confused because cakewalk isn't really telling me that its non compatible with the driver. However, I may be experiecing lockups due to this. But mabye the lockups are a culprit of something else.

So if any of you out there Run the older Layla with sonar, gimme a shout and tell me how you have it set up.

Even if you set it to 24 bit you wont get real 24bit it may end up in 20 bit or floating bit. Better go for 16 in Sonar, it is much less trouble.
