Easy, Quick Question Needs Answering

I just got a deal from guitar center for some Event 20/20's. The passive one's. It's a floor model. Is $280 (out the door) a good price for these, or am I getting scammed? I originally was gonna go for some Tannoy Proto-J's for $199, but figured 80 bucks isn't a lot for a big step up, if that's true.

I bought mine about 6 years ago for $380 for the pair! Hell yes that is a great deal!!!
