Easy, Quick Question Needs Answering

I just got a deal from guitar center for some Event 20/20's. The passive one's. It's a floor model. Is $280 (out the door) a good price for these, or am I getting scammed? I originally was gonna go for some Tannoy Proto-J's for $199, but figured 80 bucks isn't a lot for a big step up, if that's true.
 
Thanks man, looks like I'll have a pair of nice event 20/20's in my basement tonight. hehe... :D That is, unless somebody else stops me in the next 20 minutes.
