e-mu 0404 AND the audigy 2 zs

Can I run both of these simultaneously?

Here's how I'm trying it:

Ive got a nice 7.1 speaker set, creative brand, going into Audigy 2zs.

My guitar processor going into the inputs of the emu, the outputs of the emu into the Line-in of the Audigy.

I can't get them both to work at the same time. I disable the audigy and the emu (I think) works, I cant monitor it atm. I disable the emu and everything works fine. Please help a newbie.
 
ummmm, thanks for the reply, I can't, huh? Is it that theyre not compatable at all, how do you know this? Is there a resource I can go to to research. There is documentation with the e-mu card that suggests that maybe I can run this with another card....just not the audigy, you say?
 
Sound Blasters don't allow for external clock sync via SPDIF like pro cards do. Their drivers don't allow for kernel sync like M-Audio card drivers do either.

This topic comes up time after time after time here. Do a search on old posts.
