I need some help making a decision,
I want to use the full 16 channels of a tascam US 1800, so far I've have the 8 bulilt in preamps, an ART MPAII and TASCAM MP-VT1.
So I want a dual channel Mic Preamp with digital out, some options are dbx 386 Dual-Vacuum Tube Preamp, ART Digital MPA II,ART DPS II.
The final idea is to have a "learning" setup, trying to have different brands and types of equipment so the user can compare the different results obtanided.
Two things to consider; I'm in Mexico so prices are 35% higher than those of the US. Not aiming for professional grade equipment but medium range.
I also have a Samson S-com 4 chanel compressor on a 20U rack with a Samson patch panel and a HOSA XLR patch panel to have the ability of changing the signal path.
