Drums keeping time/Click track question

Hello
I have a question about recording drums. How do you keep the time in the middle of a song so that the guitars and bass can follow the time of the song when it is time to record them. I'm talking about a pause of the drums in the middle of a song. I record on a Tascam MKII Portastudio 4 track.

I don't knw. Probably drums will be recorded on tracks 1 and 2, and bounced to track 4, possibly with a live bass track recorded at the same time.
 
Well if you're going to bounce to a single track I would suggest
track 1 drums
track 2 bass
track 3 click
bounce 1&2 to 4 which leaves you with 1&2 open and a click track on 3 which can be recorded over later.
Now I know you wanted to record drums on 1&2 but with the bass being recorded at the same time you're limited.
Is this a mixing issue that you need these two tracks?
