hi guys. i am pretty familiar with audio recording but i have never experimented with software based drum machines. i used to use cubase , and i know it had a drum machine program (L-?). i am using protools le digi 001 now and i am wondering if there is a free version or a low cost basic drum machine software out there that is fairly easy to use so that i can get my feet wet. i use a zoom 123 drum machine now but it is very time consuming to program and it drives me nuts more than anything. i also used to have an atari 1040 st that had a program that would show a drum chart , the only thing i had to do was fill in the blanks where i wanted a particular drum to trigger. im talking the simpler the better to start with.
