Yea, I'm in need of some budget quality small diaphragm mics. Ones that are well suited for both applacations. I was looking at the MXL 603s pair for under 300, not bad. Any other pairs around the same price that I should check out.

i've had good luck with the audio technica pro37's, but i dont think their very common.

if you look around a bit you can get the 603s pair with shockmounts and case for $200. I have'nt tried them yet but plan to get some. I'm juggling alot of stuff within a low budget.

Get a pair of Studio Projects B1 mics.

The B1 is well suited to acoustic sources.

The older russian made Oktava MC012's are good for both too.
