Drum mic pacs

I asked the same question about the 5-piece Cad mic set, if they sounded decent or should I just save up for the Sennheiser 604's and these are some of the responses I got.

Well, I know a soundman who tested the Cad's, the Audia Technica's, and the Nady's...he said all three packs were decent.
I personally haven't tried them, but this guy is a pretty good judge of gear.

I personally would save for the Sennheiser's myself.

I have heard the opposite about the CADs. Granted, I haven't heard them, but in the opinion of Professor sound at drumweb, the CAD mikes "cost cheap, sound cheap" I've read enough from him to trust his opinion. I agree with Tim; save up just a bit more, or get a Sure 57 for your snare and an AKG pack for bass and toms....

So I would try to save up for the Sennheiser's ($149 each) it'll be worth it. But if the 604's are out of the question I'd probably take the Cads over Nadys - although I haven't heard either one, but just from what I've heard around here, Nady stuff is really cheap (I'm not talking money wise) and doesn't have a real good reputation.

Hope this helps
