Drum map help SX3, notes aren't being written right.

It appears things are correctly setup in Cubase. The midi out on my edrum module seems to be by default sending the correct information to ezdrummer because each pad is activating its corresponding drum. But the odd thing is when I record in Cubase, no matter what point in time I hit a drum, theres a steady line written from the very beginning of the recorded part to the very end. The line always corresponds to trigger the correct drum once I playback, but all it does is hit the drum once in cubase right when I hit play.

I'll admit i don't really know how to set up a drum map in Cubase yet because I'm always doing acoustic drums. I thought that had to be my problem but that can't be it though. The right drums always seems to hit on playback so it must be set up correctly by default.

So why is it just drawing a steady line from beginning to end rather than reading all the correct info such as velocity, gain/volume, midi note length?
