Drum loops fading out

I've just started using some Smart Loops drum and percussion loops within Cubase Studio 4. I've noticed that each individual loop fades out from start to finish, which obviously makes the percussion very front-heavy. My audio and VST instrument tracks do not do this. At some point I added a fade-out to the entire project (I've been working on this project a long time), but I may have removed it, since when I try to remove the fade, under Audio, that command is grayed out.

Any obvious solution to my problem?
