I'm writing an essay for school and was thinking about real recorded drums vs. fake drums (Ezdrummer etc.)
I know it's not the most original subject but it interests me.
I was thinking about making a test where there are two tracks to listen to; one of a recorded drumkit played by a drummer and one with fake drums. The goal would be to try to make the fake drums sound as real as possible. I would like to see who can tell what is what. I'm pretty convinced already that people "in the bussiness" will be able to tell, and "ordinary" people will be easy to confuse.
Problem is I'm not good enough at recording drums OR programming them to pull this off myself.
Is there anyone here who would be able to help out with this? Either by guiding me or by making the actual files (which probably would be better and let me write a more objective essay.)
