Drum/Bass help

So I've got somewhat of my first recording done (mainly the intro) but I want to start adding some drums to it and have no idea what to use or what is the best to use, I don't personally play the drums so I can't mic myself up and play. Also for the bass is there any VSTs that are good?

Tom, if you want to add drums, learning something about drumming might be a good idea, so that you can work out what would sound appropriate... or are you just hoping to pick up someone else's MIDI loops and use them?

Depends what you want to do, really..
 
Well I've always been the type of person who would rather use my own creation or at least giving it ago before looking at other options. I do have some knowledge of drums but very little, so I suppose looking into that first would be a good option. Just to save making a new thread once I've learnt that what would you say the next step is, as in what is some good drumming plugins or software to use. (I'm using Cubase 5 if that makes any difference).
