Drop-Ceiling Acoustics

Know anything about them? I need to know what frequencies they effect and how effective they are so I don't accidentally build too many traps for my room. I'm talking about those white 2'x2' (and smaller) acoustic tiles.

Can I catch more bass frequencies if I put some fluffy fiberglass in there? Any other ideas or is a drop ceiling best with that air gap? Spanx.

It's not possible to have too much bass trapping in a room. You can definitely have too much absorption at mid and high frequencies, but not below about 300 Hz.

Yes, if you lay 12 inches of fluffy fiberglass on top of the tiles that will help a lot. If you don't want to do the entire ceiling, at least focus on the perimeter to trap the important wall-ceiling corners up there.
