DP4.6 and higher sample rates, problems!

I am wondering if any other DP forum users have also had problems with DP4.6 at higher sample rates.
I am using a dG5 Mac, OS X.4, a LYNX AES16 digital card, and DP4.6. Everything works well at 44.1kHz. When I go to higher samples rates such as 88 or 96kHz, I have problems working in DP4.6. I get a machine type sound in my output and a sound signal overload in my output as soon as I try to play or record sound. I do not have this problem working with DSP Quattro Pro, or Garage Band.
Any suggestions?

Very occasionally. For me, when I first launch the app, it either works or it doesn't, and if it doesn't, a quit and restart usually fixes it.

If that's not what you're seeing, I'm not sure what's going on. I can't imagine hitting any sort of PCI bandwidth problem with 16 channels, so....
