I'm a dinosaur ... been the computer recording route, and while I got decent results, it was just too much of PITA, replacing my obsolete PC is an expense I didn't want to incur, and I've gone back to a MTR. I'll probably use it just for tracking, maybe mastering ... but I'll mix on the computer. I've already laid down a few tracks after getting over a couple of little humps that the manual didn't make clear (why don't recording engineers write the manuals instead of the technical writers?). Gonna be a bit of a learning curve, but I expect I'll be happy once I get used to it. Now I need a decent, inexpensive preamp. I have an ART TPS-ii that works only OK, and think I'm gonna spend a few more bucks and get something a little better. Just wanted the world to know. Back to work ... :listeningmusic:
