Just wondered, At sporting events, when a song get's played during intermissions, does the artist get paid?

How about the 7-10 seconds of a song that gets played whenever a new batter steps up to the plate. Artist getting payed????

If so, How much are they collecting in these examples given?

Is there a hidden gold-mine waiting for me if I came up with a catchy, sporty song?

You can't watch a basketball game without hearing a "Queen" song.

THANKS FOR ANY INFO!!!

The owner(s) of the venue will have a license agreement with the P.R.Os. That covers them for use of all music.

Sorry -- in general, to get "mailbox money" from your PRO, you need a charting hit.

Larger venues such as a stadium pay a yearly fee to play "cover songs" or simply play songs through any medium.
