does anyone know about the Zoom Sampletrak 224?

The Zoom Sampletrak ST-224 seems like the right sampler for my purposes, but I haven't had any experience with it. Does it have any problems, any major limitations, any annoying little imperfections? Imformation from real people would be appreciated.

I recently purchased one. It's my first sampler, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I think it's great. It does everything I wanted it to. The effects are pretty good and it's really easy to use. I've had no problems with it. The only annoying thing, is that it doesn't have enough internal sampling time, so you have to buy some Smartmedia cards (around $20 each for the 8mb). I would definitely recommend it, and from everything I've read, it seems better than any other sampler in it's price range. Thanks. Those reviews were a lot of help. Could you tell me exactly what kinds of i/o's it has and how many of each? I can't find those listed on any site.

They're for digital cameras also, so you should be able to get them any place that sells computer stuff. Just make sure that it's 3.3volts(most of them are). I got a Sandisk 8mb card at Buy.com for $14.99. I checked around and it seems like they have the best prices.

I have a zoom sT-224. I am about to purchase a smart card reader/writer so that I can transfer .wav files directly to the smart card, then pop that into my sample track and load. My curiosity is that when you purchase the smart cards, you have to format them in the sample track first before you can dump any data to them. Will smart card reader/writers recognize the formatting from the st-224 so that I can load .wav files to it from my pc?
