Hi all,
I've recently been turned towards kick drum triggers after playing a headliner's kit who used one at a gig. Really helped the sound for the type of music I was playing.
Anyway, it got me to thinking-- Does there exist a method of triggering a kick drum without going out and buying a full drum module? Not that I'm a tightwad or anything, but I'd hate to have all that additional functionality sitting there doing nothing.
So does such a thing exist? Or perhaps the schematics somewhere to build one?
I guess the other option is to use a laptop with some outboard audio gear and a small program, but a little box would be nice. I almost imagined something with single a jack input for the trigger and a single XLR/jack output for the audio.
Any thoughts? I'm guessing this question has been asked a million times but I couldn't find any references to it.
Cheers
