Do you trust classified ads?

I don't know if this the right place to post this but here it goes.

I was just looking at the classified ads of Harmony central and there are some pretty nice stuff that I liked. I've never ordered anything from anywhere besides a music store before. So is it safe to buy stuff from there? Or are there a lot of scammers hanging around? thanks
 
Also check if it is a reputable member. Make sure they have losts of good posts.

Eg. I would have no troubble buying from "Big Kenny" becuase I know he is a studio owner and has many good posts.

YOu can use that kind of thing like ebay uses their feedback system.
 
Classified ads are a great place to get an idea about prices. Personaly I don't buy anything without trying it first, especially guitars or amps. New gear, whether bought from a store or an ad should have the same warranty and the same return policy in case there is a problem.
