dmp3 vs. neve vs. rnp vs. actual experience

not quite but bluetube vs vintech 1272 vs rnp. I recorded a few vocal takes with each into a test file. at first I didn't notice any differences. actually I thought the vintech was broken (I had just gotten it). after enough time listening and comparing I was eventually blown away by the vintech. After recording actual stuff with it I was able to appreciate exactly what it was doing. The rnp is a close second, but more clean less magic. the blue tube I'll probably never sell because you can use it as a fuzz box.

I chose actual experience. I use alot of pre-amps like Avalon, Joemeek, Focusrite, Chandler etc (too many to list). Each is used where it works best.

And, yes, even a DMP3 is useable if it works.
