DJ scratching effect

I am trying to emulate a DJ like scratching sound with an acoustic guitar and effect pedals. I read somewhere that you can use a flange pedal and a wah to do this. I have a line6 DL4 and when I modulate the delay times it sort of sounds like scratching. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Also does anyone know if a boss or digitech delay pedal can be controlled with an external expression pedal? I heard of someone being able to do this with a Hotfoot but they don’t make them any more. I would like to control delay time on my pedal with my foot like you can with the Line6.

Try a plectrum rubbed between the E and A strings from the first fret to the headstock, at 90 degrees to the string. Contact both the E and A strings.
