It aint ez being green
I got a couple vintage 30's lating around collecting dust, so I'm starting some research on cab construction, got a q: Does it matter to a '57 stuck in the grill if the cab is open back, closed back, or ported?
I figure the 57 might just be picking up just what's coming out of the front of the cone, and not much else. The closed back might affect the cone movement/sound due to some pressure inside the cab. But a ported design or open back? There's no pressure, and a 57 wouldn't catch any of the bassy resonance coming from a port or any of the sound coming out of the back of the cab or whatever...
