Direct Box ?

Can anyone tell me if there are any problems with using the cheaper Direct Boxes. I am going to need to get a few for a gig coming up here soon that is not going to generate any income and don't have a lot of money to spend. I just want to know if I will encounter any problems using the cheap ones.

I use the Whirlwind IMP2 Direct Box which was like $40. Dont know if you're talking cheaper than that, but I have 3 of these and use them on acoustic guitar, bass, and keyboard and they are great. Even have a ground lift to get rid of buzz when you get it.


Now that I'm looking....the Whirlwind EDB1 Direct Box would probably be an even better choice, for $10 less.
