See, the thing is, I think they didn't put them in because most people don't need them. I own one and don't need them. I have an FX box and CD recorder with dig i/o's, but no music making gear with 'em, so I don't have a need. But like you, some people do. It's not an all inclusive recorder, but it is the best thing in it's price range (and some features take it beyond).
