Digi001 / studio wiring question

I'm in the process of wiring my new home studio which consists of a sound room and control room. I plan to purchase the Digi001 when I finish construction but I need to know how many XLR outlets I should run between the two rooms.
Q's for current Digi001 users:
1. How many XLR inputs does the Digi have?
2. How do I take advantage of the ADAT firewire connection? I received an old, but free, Panasonic DAT recorder from my company.. can I use it with the Digi?
3. I'm thinking two triple wall plates that give me 12 Neutrik connectors... is that too many for the Digi?

Please help!

Are you saying you've decided to buy the 001 without doing any research? All your questions can be answered by visiting Digidesign's website and reading about the Digi 001. The only thing that may not be clear is the DAT issue, but you need to be aware that DAT is not ADAT. That doesn't mean you can't hook your DAT up to the 001 though, and you probably can.
