Difference in matched pair, and unmatched?

is there a difference at all from buying this mxl 603s stereo matched pair pack
this

or two of these

the pair looks silver, but like would there be any difference in getting the two of these. I'm planning on using them for overheads so, what do you think?

The obvious differences are the shock mounts and the hella nice case. A sterio matched pair is a pair that was matched in the factory to sound identical.

Do you need a sterio matched pair? Will you notice the difference?

Probably not.

But some people would beg to differ.

i have a 603 right now..

if i got a 603s would i hear much of a difference..

603s have mogami wiring.. and the 603 does not..

thats what i believe..

but the 603 is like $50 cheaper..
