So before I got that Mbox2 and protools, I used a pc with a behringer mixer (2 mic inputs) and a Audiophile Firewire soundcard. If I wanted to record my electric guitar I'd just plug it into the mixer and go. The sound was what it was but for my purpose of recording ideas it was ok.
So now I thought with the Mbox2 for roughly 3 times the price of the behringer, I'd get at least the same quality. Nope. I plug the cable directly into the DI input on the Mbox. I don't like the sound. It's a lot thinner than on the other system. Am I imagining this? Am I missing something important?
If I use amplitube or something it's unusable. Compared to the other system where it was fine.
