DELTA66 and SPDIF

Hello, I have a simple question, I'm about to try this experiment tonight, but was hoping to aleviate any future headaches by asking first....

Can I use the 4 inputs of the delta66 and the SPDIF att he same time?

I want to connect a fostex 16 track up to the spdif while I track through the 4 inputs of the Delta...

is this doable? or will I be pulling my hair out even attempting it?

I want to record 4 inputs plus the SPDIF signal into seperate tracks??

anyone tried this already?

I dont think you can do it simultaneously. Record your spdif first then do your analog tracks.

The manual explicitely says: All Delta 66 analog and S/PDIF inputs may be used simultaneously for a total of 6 input channels.

you certainly can do it...just make sure you set the internal clock to spdif on the control panel or the audio wont play right...make sure you set it back to the sound card clock when you disconnect the spdif source, or again the audio wont play right...
