Delta 1010 problem

I'm not getting any audio input and output from my computer system. I'm using the Delta 1010 with an Amd 1800. The motherboard is a Asus A7V266 with a VIA VT8366 chipset. I looked at other forums and it stated that if I loaded the VIA 4 in1 version 4.37 drivers that would solve the problem. Please give input on the situation, and if possible name some mothersboards (chipsets) that are known the work well with Delta 1010.

My system is Amd XP 1800, 512 DDR memory, Radion 7500 video card.

Thanks

After doing the research on VIA chipsets, and getting advice from others on forums such as this, I decided to change the motherboard and the processor to a Pentium to correct this problem, and to minimize future problems with my studio equipment.

Thanks to all for the advice

I have a Delta 66 which works flawlessly with an XP1700+ on a Asus A7N266-C motherboard (nforce chipset).

If you change your motherboard for a non-Via one, you should be fine.
Some PIV mobos are 'buggy' as well, it all comes down to doing some research before you buy...

db51: You're right about not using a non VIA chipset. I'm pretty sure I have the problem corrected. Thanks for the advice.
