Does anybody know if there is a product out there that will let a PCI card be plugged into a laptop? For the purpose of hooking a delta 1010 to laptop.
that would be really nice huh? the only thing i can think of would be a card that allows one to connect a pci desktop format to laptop format... do a search for laptop desktop pci conversion or something. i'll let you know if i find anything.
I'd say you'd need a docking station with a PCI slot. We have those at work. Works just fine and it's fairly portable, although you can't run it on batteries.
You would have to check if your laptop maker has a docking station with a pci slot.
I was also looking into the 1010 as well, but think I might go for the 828mkII, just becuase it's firewire, and firewire to PCMCIA adaptors are dirt cheap.
