Delays

I'm a mobile DJ with 6 years of experience and I don't know what delays and limiters are used for. Can somebody please help with this?

I assume you are talking about a digital delay?

A "delay" simulates an echo. lONGER=The Grand canyon, shorter delay = a School Gym shortest= your garage with nothing in it.

A limiter is used to control volume. Most units have settings to control where you limit the signal. Basically how it works is that you set a limit on how loud you want your signal to get. If a signal goes beyond that point, then the limiter will reduce it's volume to the point you had set the max limit to be.
