Hello,
I have recently purchased a Teac 80-8 multitrack and the noise reduction
module dbx Dx-8. The recorder is in good condition, although not perfect,
one track is apparently not rececording at all (should be the probelm with
the FET I found already on the forum) and there are some kind "spillovers"
from one track to the adiacent ones. Anyone got a clue what's that about?
Moreover the dbx module does wok fine in terms of hiss suppression but
the result is an extremely fat sound, sometimes wavey (like a slight
phaser/chorus effect) and seems to alter A LOT the EQ of the original
sorce. I am now using the recorder without the noise reduction module
for this reason. was wondering if anyone has experinced the same problem,
will it need a full factory check up or is something simple I can sort out myself?
thanks
stefano
