i have the korg d1200mkII and it has the option of 24 or 16-bit recording. i want to use the 24-bit for more serious works but when i do i instantly get bumped down to six tracks.

so how do i work around that? can i somehow use the virtual tracks feature that came with it to compensate or perhaps bounce several tracks to the korg's hard drive or to disk and just piece the tune together that way?

at a loss.

many thanks for your replies!

I think you answered your own question there, bounce tracks. For example, you could bounce drums and bass down to one track, and then free up some others for vox, guitars, etc.

As for virtual tracks, think of them as different takes of the same track, you can only play one of them at a time per real track.
