DAW matching

Hi folks. I've been using Adobe Audition for awhile, and have also picked up Ableton Live. I've been happy with them, using Audition for editing and multitracking and Ableton for loops and whatnot. I'm just wondering if you could recommend this approach. I've had my head down a bit on the matter of DAW comparisons, and am just wondering if I could be getting more out of using different software.

I'm interested in combining MIDI and loop-based sounds with audio recordings.

Most DAWs should be good with MIDI and audio. I would think something like Cubase would be best for that. I know Logic has quite good MIDI tools too. But seriously, any DAW these days should be able to use both.
