Looking for the best bang for buck all purpose pre under $1k (till I can afford another). I was narrowing it down to a Great River but then found out about these DAV's which , with 2 channels, sound like a better bang for less. Would a lean and clean type pre like the DAV be good general working pre choice for a start? Thanks for your input
