How do I record from a DAT onto my computer ? I have a DAT player and a hi8 machine but no DAT drive. What cable, where ? Please help ?

You need to get a soundcard with an S/P DIF port. your DAT machine should have a coaxial port and you then just get a digital coaxial cable and connect it to your soundcard.otherwise, you can just go analog and hook them both up.
