I would hesitate to call it a "tube amp" as it only has preamp tubes. Sound is a subjective thing and I use amp modeling and have played most of them and have tried the Cyber Twin but at least to my ears no amp modeller can yet replace the real thing. That's not to say one can't get use out of them because I do but for recording I still think it's hard to beat a tube amp and an SM57.
