Custom Laptop?

Hey dudes,

I'm currently looking for a laptop for DAW purposes with a USB 2.0 interface (given up on finding an affordable new laptop with TI Firewire!) and would welcome any input...

At the moment I like the look and prices of the custom laptops over at http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk as they seem to be at least as good value as say a Dell, and I won't get any of their bloatware! I think I know roughly what I want but I'm not too sure about the differences in processor etc... At the moment I'm considering either their 15.6" 'Enigma i7' Laptop, or 17" StyleNote 17i (which is about £100 more but has a larger screen and has a PCI Express Card slot which could maybe be handy in the future should I want to add USB 3.0 ports or something)

For £789 I can get the 15.6" 'Enigma i7'. Key specs as follows...

Intel® Core™i7 Mobile CPU i7-720QM (1.60GHz) 6MB Cache (Special Offer)
4GB SAMSUNG 1333MHz SODIMM DDR3 MEMORY (2 x 2GB)
1GB ATI® Radeon™ HD 5650 PCI Express - DirectX® 11
250GB SERIAL ATA II 2.5" HARD DRIVE WITH 16MB CACHE (7,200rpm)
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

Same but with: Intel® Core™i7 Mobile CPU i7-620M (2.66GHz) 4MB Cache is £882 - I don't understand the seemingly higher speed but less MB: please explain to this noob!

Or, same but with: Intel® Core™i5 Mobile CPU i5-540M (2.53GHz) 3MB Cache for £779 (again seemingly faster than the i5? Is the i7 1.60GHz x 4 or something?)

For any of those it's £117 extra for 8GB RAM

Any opinion on which processor, or indeed Laptop I should go for? Sadly price is a factor though... Also, which is more important - a faster processor, or more RAM?? Please can anybody tell me if the i7-720QM is better than the i5-540M? The i7 Laptop is only a tenner more!

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give,

Cheers!
